ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN: PT, DAYS, 48 HRS PP Job Number: 119763 Description The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for providing support to the activities of the Anesthesia Department, as well as the surgical Services Department. The areas of support include all task as assigned by designated members of the Anesthesia Department, in addition to Surgical Services support. The support provided by the anesthesia Technician is in the form of assisting with the Anesthesia care of the patient in the pre-op, intra-op, and immediate post-operative phases of care. He/She also assists in all technical phases of equipment handling and is responsible for reporting needs for special equipment and supplies to the designated CRNA and/or Acting Chief of Anesthesia. Previous Experience is Required, 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience Preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, Junior College/Technical College Preferred. CPR Certification Required. Anesthesia Tech Certification Preferred.* This position is scheduled 8:30 am until 5:00 pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This position does not work weekends.
