Skills:

Management: Final quality inspection, interviewing, supervision, scheduling and budgeting associated with new construction paint crews.

Maintenance and Repairs: Experience with maintaining and repairing bed controls, patient beds, televisions, thermostats, med gas outlets, I.V. stands and appliances, faucets and flush valves.

Painting, Finishing and Carpentry: Skills include; faux finishes such as wood graining, marbleizing, and rag rolling, installation and maintenance of wall coverings including vinyl, Mayatex, AcoustaRib and Acoustatrack.  Experienced with maintenance and operation of airless sprayers, lacquer sprayers, paint mixers, and spray booths, and installation of finish sheetrock.

Responded to and provided maintenance support in all trade disciplines including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and facility improvement functions as well as boiler room and mechanical room response.  Responsibilities included maintenance and repairs as well as communication with managers, team leaders and vendors regarding progress of work activities and adherence to safety standards and JCAHO regulations.

Journeyman Painter

Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, KS- April 1998 to Sept. 2004

Responsibilities included the decoration and protection of interior and exterior of the facilities.  Maintained and operated all paint shop equipment.  Required working knowledge of all types of paint and the ability to select, prepare, and apply proper paint for various surfaces to be professionally finished. Experience includes latex, odorless, oil-base automotive and epoxy varnish, lacquers, and refinishing of furniture and fixtures.

Quality Control Supervisor

Custom Paint- Stanley, KS  February 1997 to April 1998

 Supervised quality control maintenance staff in the repair and touch up of the walls, trim and ceilings of homes in new construction. Inspected and evaluated work done by painters and repaired any damage that may have been caused by other trades that worked in the home. Assisted in staff selection, performed evaluations and coordinated scheduling of employees and projects to successfully complete all projects on time and under budget.
