PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

SPRINT NEXTEL, Overland Park, Kansas 1980 - 2008
Business Analyst (2004-2008)
Developed cost effective, high efficient, end to end, simplified process for VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Cable Order Management.

  Member of Cable Order Management team tasked with developing a nationwide One Stop Shop for telecommunications orders. This information was housed on a shared network drive which allowed provisioning staff to access procedures to efficiently and accurately process orders.

  Certification team member who partnered with key internal and external stakeholder teams to complete preliminary testing, process documentation and service level agreements for new Telecom vendors. This included developing order templates for provisioning staff to use and efficiently process orders.

  Key member of team championed with developing over 50 methods and procedures for new Telecom vendors, enabling orders to be processed accurately and within established time frames.

  Implemented new escalation process for provisioning team members. This resulted in timely problem submission and resolution of issues for provisioning staff.

 Charter member of team responsible for defining processes to communicate planned and unplanned outages to the order processing team and supervisors. Team was recognized for processing over 1.5 million orders within first year.

Established, staffed and supervised, Sprint Data Central Office (SCO) moves and closures throughout the United States, with a team of eight employees.
  Developed circuit inventory process and documentation. Enabled Access Verification Department and the provisioning staff to follow correct steps for accurate circuit disconnect and access cost recovery. This resulted in the closure of 242 offices throughout the United States, with annualized savings of over $39 Million.

  Significantly reduced access charges by $60k per month by continually monitoring and analyzing circuit inventory and disconnecting inactive circuits.

Technical Applications Consultant, Government Services Division (1999-2000)
Project managed and implemented all frame relay, voice and data services for two customers: the U.S. Attorney's Office and U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

  Negotiated and confirmed new equipment installation schedules with 200+ U.S. Attorneys Offices and 40+ Federal Bureau of prisons operations personnel, ensuring that all installations were completed within designated time frames.

  Hosted weekly project status review conference calls with customers. Responded to customer initiated calls by providing information and resolving issues.

Administered all phases of circuit activity for a six-state region, including placing orders for circuits from long distance and local providers for business customers, scheduling installations, order completion and database reconciliation. Interfaced with all levels of management within Sprint and Telecom vendors.

  Managed customer and network orders from installation order request, through circuit installation and maintenance.

  Provisioned local, long distance and data services, ensuring timely installation of AOL/Earth Link services.

  Coordinated and hosted monthly conference calls with Telecom vendor to resolve issues and strengthen customer relations.
