REGISTRATION – SWITCHBOARD – Nights 6:30p – 6:30a every other weekend - Part Time (24 hrs pp)  Responsible for the hospital switchboard, ensuring incoming phone calls are greeted and routed appropriately. This position is physically located in the Emergency Department. Greets patients who present to the Emergency Room window.  Responsible for creating temporary registrations in the computer system, which allows for immediate bedding for ER patients. Responsible for calling codes utilizing the overhead paging system. Participates in the department’s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Ensures highest level of customer service is provided to the patients and their families. Performs other clerical duties as assigned.

ER ACCESS REP. PRN - Provides indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.  Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.  Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters demographic and insurance information required for admission into the computer system correctly. Collects point of service collections from patients upon the registration process. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Ensures highest level of customer service is provided to the patients and their families. Ensures patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Performs other secretarial/clerical duties as needed. 

DIETARY - DIETARY SPECIALIST - 1 PRN needed from 10:30a – 7p & 1 PRN 3p – 7p – Also hiring for Full Time (36 hrs wk) 10:30a – 7pm Monday – Friday with rotating weekends - Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutritional Services, the Dietary Specialist performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties as well as other related tasks. Such as answering phones to take inpatient food orders, delivering food trays and may include some grill in the cafeteria.

MEDICAL SURGICAL – REGISTERED NURSE – 4 OPENINGS - 2 Full Time (36 hrs wk) Days 7a – 7p & 1 Full Time (36 hrs wk) Nights 7p – 7a & 1 PRN II - Licensed registered nurse accountable for providing patient care as a professional care giver or as leader of a nursing team providing care for patients, may be assigned to carry out Charge Nurse functions, collaborates with nursing and other health care personnel to provide safe and effective patient care for all age groups of patients. Must be licensed RN in the state of KS.

CERTIFIED NURSE’S ASSISTANT – 2 Full Time Openings (36 hrs wk) Nights 7p – 7a, 3/12’s with weekend rotation - Certified individual accountable for providing patient care in collaboration with the medical providers and registered nurse, for all age groups of patient care.  Patient care may include but not limited to assistance with personal care, assistance with mobility, meals, obtaining vital signs and performing glucose testing. Must be Certified Nurse’s Asst.

TRANSITION OF CARE REGISTERED NURSE – Part Time (24 hrs wk) Days 7a – 7p,  2/12’s - RN who will assist with the admission and discharge process to help make a smooth and timely patient transition. They will also be responsible for patient and staff education, some data collection, as well as monthly and yearly monitoring requirements. It can also include occasional staffing on the med/surgical unit or ICU. They will work in collaboration with the Inpatient Services Manager to complete any needed task on the unit. Must be licensed RN in the state of KS.

INTENSIVE CARE UNITREGISTERED NURSE – PRN II – One-year experience preferred but not required - Licensed registered nurse accountable for providing patient care as a professional care giver, collaborate with nursing and other health care personnel to provide safe and effective patient care for all age groups of patients.

TELEMETRY TECH / Certified Nurse’s Assistant – PART TIME (24 hrs wk) 7p – 7a, 3/12’s with weekend rotation - Monitor patient status through assessment of ECG strips and arrhythmia interpretation. Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem. Identify and responds to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during code, continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias and interval measurements. Appropriately responding to all monitor alarms. Must be Certified Nurse’s Asst.

LABORATORY PHLEBOTOMIST – Part Time (20 hrs wk) with approximately one weekend every 5th week & 12 hour shift on that weekend. Prefer previous phlebotomy experience or training, but will train the right person. Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently.  Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed.  Responsible for sample collections of all types from all ages of patients.  Responsible for clerical functions relevant to laboratory procedures.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - Full Time (40 hrs wk) – Monday – Friday 10 – 6:30p With Rotating Weekends - Responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory.  Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory. The MT must have 4 year Baccalaureate, MT(ASCP or CLS (MLS) or board eligible. 

PHYSICIAN PRACTICES EXPRESS CARE CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT -  Full Time Position (40 hrs wk) 12p – 10p open 365 days a year. Includes weekend and holiday rotations -  Perform administrative and patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients.  As the first person the patient encounters, provide outstanding customer service skills. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.

PHYSICIAN PRACTICES SPECIALTY CARE CLINIC – CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT – Full Time (40 hrs wk) Monday – Friday 8a – 5p Perform administrative and patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients.  As the first person the patient encounters, provide outstanding customer service skills. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.

 

CARDIOPULMONARY POLYSOMNOGRAPHY TECH – Full Time (36 hrs wk) Nights 6:30p – 7a Monday – Friday with some weekends - Responsible for the operation of the Sleep Center.  Performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Director.  Responsible for attaching electrodes and monitors to patients who are participating in a sleep study.  Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician.  Responsible for PAP and ASV titrations and oxygen therapy when applicable.  Scores reports. Must be a Registered Sleep Tech (RPSGT).

REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST PRN II - Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director, the Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific

physician’s orders, department policies and procedures. Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. Must be licensed in the state of Kansas.

 

SURGERY ORT – SURG TECH – PRN II available – Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.  Ensures operating suite is prepared for procedure.  Monitors par level of all surgical instruments and supplies.  Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.  Formal scrub tech training from Vocational school or armed forces preferred; CST license preferred. Call required with 15-minute response time.
