Documentation Specialist

[SUMMARY]: Uses strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of disease processes to analyze clinical information within the electronic health record.  Identities potential gaps in physician documentation and opportunities to formulate clarifications to the provider. Interacts with physicians and HIM staff to ensure optimal documentation that reflects the patient's clinical status and care.  Educates physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals on best practice clinical documentation. [EDUCATION]: Bachelor's degree: BSN preferred. Bachelors in Health Information Administrator [LICENSURE]: Missouri Nursing License; RHIA, CCS if not BSN [EXPERIENCE]:3-5 years clinical experience; ICU/Critical care; strong med/surg specialty; or 2-4 years inpatient coding experience. Clinical documentation, utilization review, inpatient coding or acute care hospital quality experience preferred. [SPECIAL SKILLS]: Excellent critical thinking, organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.  Proficiency in Word, Excel, and electronic health records. [OTHER]: Knowledge of reimbursement systems, CMS rules and regulations preferred.


Pharmacy Technician

[SUMMARY]: Under the direction of the pharmacist, performs technical functions in the Pharmacy Department to assist in providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients. [EDUCATION]: High school degree or equivalent desired. [LICENSURE]: (NA) [EXPERIENCE]: Institutional experience preferred. [CERTIFICATIONS]: (NA) [SPECIAL SKILLS]: (NA) [OTHER]: Current Missouri technician registration.


Respiratory Therapist

[SUMMARY]: Under the direction of the department director and guidance of the supervisor, administers all Respiratory Care modalities as ordered by physicians. Primary areas consist of critical care areas, NICU, emergency department and general floor units. Other functions may include pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies. Acts as charge therapist when needed. Able to deliver all respiratory modalities offered by the respiratory department. Able to become a preceptor for students and new respiratory staff. [EDUCATION]: Graduate from an Accredited Associate Respiratory Program of Higher [LICENSURE]: Current Missouri State Respiratory License [EXPERIENCE]: One year preferred [CERTIFICATIONS]: Current BLS. [SPECIAL SKILLS]: NRP, ACCS, ACLS, CPFT preferred [OTHER]: Current RRT by the NBRC
