Licensed Practical Nurse 

Description
The licensed practical nurse performs selected acts for the promotion of health and in the care of persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in the normal health processes. Such performance requires substantial specialized skill, knowledge and judgment. All such nursing care shall be given under the direction of a registered nurse. Supportive of Village mission and values.

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of nursing Licensed practical nurse in the state of Missouri. Must have excellent social, organizational, and problem solving skills Essential aptitudes include: spatial, clerical and form perception, color discrimination, motor coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, and eye/ hand/foot coordination. Must have ability to follow instructions Must have excellent time management skills Must have multitasking and problem solving abilities Required to work on all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.

Certified Medical Technician

Description
Certified medication technician is specially trained to set up medications, administer them to the proper patient/resident and document administration in the medical record. Functions under the supervision of professional nurse within parameters of State approved credentialing. Responsible for supervising or providing direct patient care. Supportive of Village mission and values.

Requirements
 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of an approved certified medication technician course in the State of Missouri.

• Essential aptitudes include: spatial, clerical, and form perception, color discrimination, motor coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity and eye/hand/foot coordination.

• Must be able to organize own work.

• Other essential job demands include: precision, problem solving, persuasiveness, speaking ability, handling people, initiative, imaginations. alertness, ingenuity, analytic ability, sorting/grouping, memory, concentration, judgment, patience and aesthetic sense.

• Spends 67-100% of the workday handling information and performing repetitive procedures.

• Spends 1-33% of the workday under stress.

• Spends 34-66% of the workday ating with individuals outside of John Knox Village.

• Receives direct supervision 34-66% of the time.

MUST WORK THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:

Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat - Sun/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri

6:30a - 2:30p

Certified Nursing Assistant


Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant Special Care provides assistance, supervision and services to residents. Will act under the supervision of a charge nurse. Provides assistance to residents of Assisted Living, cuing activities such as dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, etc. Ensures residents are accounted for and reside in a safe environment. Monitors the location of residents on the unit, monitors doors and alarm systems, identifies, reports and helps to correct unsafe conditions.

Requirements
Must have current Missouri Certified Nurses Assistant Certification Must have successfully completed a certified nursing assistant course approved by the Missouri Division of Aging Must have excellent social, organizational, and problem solving skills Must have ability to follow instructions Must have excellent time management skills Must have multitasking abilities Required to work on all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.
 
 Registered Nurse

 Quality Assurance - Education Coordinator

Description

Coordinate quality improvement /assurance activities to ensure residents receive the highest level of quality care. Plans/Coordinates VCC education, staff needs, resident needs and regulatory compliance. Works directly with Director of Nursing in coordinating the CQI team. Assists in “Nursing new associate orientation and retention”.

Plans, coordinates and conducts regular and special request staff in-services as indicated. Implements skills training programs for nursing associates. Assures regulatory requirements for staff development are met. Assists/collaborates with all members of leadership to provide educational programs. Assists individual associates with learning opportunities for professional growth. Monitors VCC quality indicator/quality assurance reports and implements improvement plans outcome based results; improved QI results as well as improved regulatory compliance. Co-leader for VCC CQI Team ensuring positive nursing outcomes while achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN licensed in the state of Missouri. Experience: Minimum of 3 years long term care experience with a minimum of 2 years direct involvement in QI/QM process. Evidence of LTC education experience. Proficiency in Federal/State regulations as r/t staff development. Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license as a registered nurse in the state of Missouri. Knowledge and Skills (required unless otherwise noted): Understanding of MOS 2.0.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent to any nursing position

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily indoors, works in close proximity to equipment, healthcare providers and residents. Exposure to body fluids, infection and varied behavior of residents. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None

Physical  Therapist - Lansing, KS

Description
Will conduct Home Health Physical Therapy visits as needed. Will be responsible for evaluation and treatment of disabilities, injuries, and diseases in accordance with the orders of the referring physician. Performs assessments and establishes a plan of care. Maintains documentation for each patient in compliance with Agency policies and HCFA regulations

Requirements
Must be a Registered Physical Therapist in Kansas and/or Missouri (dual licensed within 60 days of employment.) Bachelor of Science or higher in Physical Therapy required. Must have current driver license and proof of auto insurance.


RN - PRN  Lansing, KS

Description
Works with patients and families in providing skilled nursing service, performs initial and ongoing nursing assessments, develops plan of care per physicians plan of treatment, evaluates patients response to treatment, maintains and applies knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, documents care given in patient record, maintains medical records per regulations, coordinates care, supervises Home Care Aides, and manages patient case load. Prefer a candidate with knowledge of infusion delivery systems, infusion skills a priority; skilled in peripheral and midline insertions. Attends 15 hours of in-services/year.

Requirements
Must have a current RN license in appropriate state (MO/KS), with a minimum of one-year (1) home health experience. Must have a current Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
